Public
Service Announcement
Come to the GARAGE SALE held annually by Outreach (charitable wing of
the Canadian Club). Reserve the date: Sat. SEP. 27,
9am - 3pm.
There will be hundreds of books and people who love to read usually
buy 15-30 books at a time. As well, we will have tools, clothes,
computer stuff, dishes, chunches, baked goods, handicrafts, Christmas
decorations, etc. We've had crutches, lawn mowers, you name it.
There is also usually a line-up to get in, so get there early for
best selection.
All proceeds go to help poor children, abandoned teens, destitute
elderly, the Indigenous, etc. The Embassy matches our fundraising
efforts.
Exit at Cariari Mall & go up the ramp & over the bridge that goes to
towards Belen. But don't go to Belen. Turn Left at the
first road after the bridge and go down the steep hill towards Bosques de Dona
Rosa. You'll already have started seeing red maple leaves. Follow
said leaves to Moe & Irene Laframboise's. Or call them at 293-2739
for better directions than these miserable ones.
Clean out your closets & donate your unwanted treasures. Please call
them to arrange for a pick-up or delivery prior to the sale date.
Remember, baked goodies are welcome too! I'm hoping there'll be
Nanaimo Bars again this year. They are to die for.
Thanks for your attention and anticipated attendance! You'll see
lots of people you know & make new friends.
To
list your charitable group's public
announcement free of charge, please send us
an email!

The
bridge over the River Tiribi that connects
the two halves of Los Abajo Anonos was
washed away on Thursday by torrential
currents following several days of heavy
rains.
According to Municipal officials, the bridge
will not be re-built at this time, placing
barricades on both sides of the bridge for
the time being. The above foto was taken
Friday morning from the newly reconstructed
bridge that links La Sabana with Escazu.
