Andrew: The International Baptist Church was funded and started by Enrique Villalobos along with a Canadian. We believed these good Christian people, until I personally saw how these alleged Christians were cooking the books! Milanes was also invested with the Villalobos brothers–aka the “helicopter brothers!

Sorry to hear that. Really amazed that a Baptist church group managing other people’s money would not do due diligence before investing with these snake oil salesman. I can understand individual investors not adhering to the age old adage. “if it sounds to good to be true….”, but the International Baptist Church owed it to its members to properly investigate these ponzi schemers. That said, a lot of intelligent investors were duped by Bernie Madoff as well.

We were victims of Milanes and the Villalobos brothers–through our affiliation with the International Baptist Church! None of them were good stewards of the money involved! We moved to Panama to get away from the thieves!

Now if only the authorities could hunt down and prosecute the Villalobos brothers. Of course they are ticos, and as such, would probably only get a slap on their collective wrists.
