A loud noise like a bang? We would like to know more exactly what type of loud noise please. That might help determine if an explosive was the culprit since it happened right after takeoff. Usually a trigger used for a bomb in an aircraft has a trigger which detonates at a prescribed altitude. There are several types of devices which can bring down an aircraft including a small explosive device which will cut the engine off by blowing the fuel line off. This can be done by remote as in the case of John Kennedy’s plane. John John Kennedy had recently announced his intention to run for president and would have been a shoe-in. He NEVER flew without a co-pilot who was a more experienced pilot…NEVER. However when they recovered his plane there was no mention of the co-pilot being found. The recovery of the downed craft was delayed for several hours, supposedly because they were searching for the airplane. Actually the plane had a homing beacon which would have shown EXACTLY where the plane was. They needed time for a team of divers to get to the site to remove the co-pilot’s body and flight plan records and voice box recorder because these would have shown that there was a co-pilot aboard. Anyway in Central America there will be no such questions answered concerning this downed helicopter. This is a real whodunnit and whydunnit.
