Yes i broke my leg on my farm in Hone Creek. Friend took me to the hospital in Limon where i was greeted by one friendly administrator but then the doctors who put my leg in a cast were very adamant about questioning me as to why i am in Costa Rica. A American here looking for free medical? Not quite. Have owned my place for 8 years now, have residency, etc. These two doctors kept walking by me and saying “American here who cant speak spanish, why are you here”. Did this several times. Mean as hell they were. Never set my leg, they didnt know how. I had to take aplane to Orlando and have a operation to fix the compound fracture. I almost lost my leg. A few more days and i would have been ripe for a amputation. The Cuban woman doctor told me to go home and stay off my leg for 60 days while it was rotting inside the cast she put on me. Thank God i knew to run to the airport and get on the next plane to Florida.

Cuban doctors and Cuban trained doctors working in the Limon hospital. They hate Americans. Dont go there. You will die in that hospital.
