Dam, That is the smartest thing I have ever heard in Costa Rica and should be done in every country. I have said Costa Rica can not stand success, may be I was wrong. Cut all benefits to Politicians and Clergy Past and Present put the money into schools.

This is a much needed and long overdue mechanism to keep the legislators and office of the President straight (as opposed to crooked) and more focused on the needs of the country (as opposed to only themselves).

Since a majority isn’t required to elect any official I wonder how often this would be attempted by a united attack by the loosing parties. Overall a good idea, though, and something we need in the US for our highest court.
