Tim, I’ve been where you are and I know it’s scary. Glad to hear you are on the mend. The good news is that, with good medical attention and some adjustments, you will be able to carry on as you wish. I’m 20 years out from some similar problems and you will leave yours in the past too. Take care and stay well.
