Very nice article, with the right question. The US Department of State has listed Costa Rica for decades as having questionable water, and the government of Costa Rica has, to me knowledge, ever said anything. The tourist industry has praised the water quality here, though. I tried to get a water report from the municipality here, but was given excuses the three times I went back to talk to the head engineer. Obviously, I would not be given a copy of the report as they knew I was a reporter. They say that in less than 10 years we are going to have water scarcities, and of course water will be considerably more expensive. AyA apparently is preparing for that.
