I also have to wonder what the U.S. is up to.
As far as “Flooding the country with Cubans” goes, this country has been a destination for refugees since day one. Other than the Native American Indian, we are all descendents of refugees.
At some point, from Canada to the Southern tip of South America, there will be no borders. It will be one big American Union. Can you say “New World Order”.
It’s coming, so you better get used to it.

Obama is not satisfied with filling the country with Mexicans and Central Americans, now he wants to also flood the country with Cubans.

You raise valid questions, and it is unfortunate that whenever the U.S. makes any kind of humanitarian move, we have to question their motives, as history has shown the dark side of U.S. intervention time and again…..especially in Latin America! Let’s hope for the best in this move!

At first I thought – awesome for the Cuban people – both living there and/or with family there (and us because I’ll bet they’ll jump up as a hugely popular Medical Tourism destination because of the training & how cheap it is [heck – even Chavez went there for his treatments – but then someone made a comment along the lines of “What is the U.S. up to?” which did make me think twice. &/or could it do
with Guantanamo & that investigations somehow???
As usual, it sure seems “All about how it can benefit the U.S. & I’ll be the standard handful of “investors” that are the main ones that benefit from these CAFTA/NAFTA things. hmmmm
