I see National average and Government average two different things.. I misread.. Thanks for clarifying. However still over 198,000 on the government payroll. WOW!

Rusty, the government holiday bonuses represent 25% of the total $1.3 billion in bonuses that will be paid by private+public sector combined, not 25% of the number of workers/jobs. As you can see the average government bonus is twice that of the national average.

Numbers seem a bit off. 198,000 government workers past and present. Claim this is about 25%. Let us say 150,000 currently working or shall I say get paid and have a government job the rest retired. That means the private sector has 75% about 600,000 jobs coming in at about 800,000 total jobs in CR. I think the private sector over estimated… Any number crunchers out there and where am I wrong?

The Criminals in Congress should be jailed, a 20% increase in the budget, All benefits should be cut to Congress past and Present! No bonus to any Government workers. No money to the Church ,instead it should pay a tax. Legalize and tax Marijuana.

I noticed that the budget was approved last Saturday for a 20% increase in spending and nothing cut from the bloated budget. What does this mean when over 60% borrowed. These are just estimates of what is expected private sector will pony up. Well Merry Christmas too all. Oh Boy!
