This is very low wage i looked into mopt drafting people they earn around 1490.000 starting out at Mopt.

I agree it took him 6 yrs before they hired him prematurely now going on 12 yrs. , Others behind him where promoted over him because of FAMILY connections. His job a draftsman. Does not pay much however every weekend , holiday , 3 weeks vacation . I think he makes about 425,000 a month minus his CAJA/pension. He knows to keep his mouth shut, the TICO way here.

Their is a Mafia at the PORT and always has been. The Mafia ( Black Jamacian) runs the Port and they don’t want anyone into there CASH COW. They charge what ever they want in Taxes for home goods and cars. Half the time you get only half your car and half your goods. There is some much theft there because of the Black Market and all they stuff that
is SOLD on the street from those that stole it off the containers and Cars.
Wake up… The Mafia does not want a NEW LARGER PORT… THEY WILL HAVE TO SHARE THE STEALING AND TAXES. IT is time that C.R. took Back their Port and the ADDED CORRUPTION… MAFIA AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT MAFIA..

Lets Remenber that most Costa Rican Goverment staff never want to screw up there gravy train but everyone else in Costa Rica aka Private citizens that fund the goverment want something better than the corupt goverment staff and the gangster elected officials. Mopt is a mess and they throw money away like garbage. The Public goverment staff are the problem so corupt they make the mafia look good.

My step son works for MOPT. He said if anyone causes trouble, including some extended family would reflect on his job. Arm twisting with any protest even on Face Book. Also over half of all the workers have a government job in CR. He said he will not risk what little he has.

I am well aware of the Corrupt Government but that has nothing to do with building a Modern Port system.So why are these people protesting. They should protest about over paid government workers !

I guess you don´t get what is happening in Costa Rica. The people are starting to rise up against the corupt system. More protests coming soon and expect Police to use tough tactics.
