They stand to profit from this, as they do from all their investments, and they did from the bailout of the banking collapse they helped to create. .I agree with you that solar farms should also be considered here, especially as the costs of panels have come down considerably and efficiency has improved (they now generate very well on cloudy days).  I would think that they would do especially well in Guanacaste. Assuming that the operators are not ripped off on the equipment, this is a sure thing for making a profit and will provide much-needed relief to our power grid.
