Geothermal is independent of exchange rate fluctuations, El Nino rainfall disruptions and international conflicts.  Geothermal is Eco-neutral having no emissions, no fuel supply transport infrastructure is required and the plant footprint itself is not large.  Costa Rica is fortunate to be one of the few places in the world where this is possible.
