Having lived in costa rica 7 years, my answer would be yes. And have been to the lincoln plaza numerous times, and know many Ticos

Do yourself a favor and go to the mall Lincoln Plaza in Moravia and check out the Starbucks there.
Count the number of Ticos waiting in line and get back to me with a better informed point of view.

Very weak and blatant marketing ploy. But Ms. Puente did accomplish X & Y.
