Tourism has been affected since the dollar was pegged at 500 colones several years ago. Thank Hugo Chavez for selling his oil here in the local currency while your COL now doubles every 6 years.

If there had been that many tourists, and even with each one spending a trifling $500 or $1,000, just think of how much fresh money would have been brought into the country. A Chinese elder once pointed out that intelligence begins with calling each thing what it really is.

If you do your research you will find that in GTE tourist declined 850+ The rest are made up of people doing their tourist run.
The real tourist population has been declining for years
