And we see from another ICR story today that CR is only finally, maybe, sometime in the future going to treat some of the raw sewage it spews into the rivers.

The country is simply going to have to quit believing its own environmentalist PR and start getting the job done, or become a bloated, bureaucratic backwater.

Not to mention the vast number of vehicles on the road with the ICE logo, with only one or two people per vehicle. True story: A yound Tico, who is an executive with ICE, told me how four separate cars, with four separate drivers, were needed when four different big shots had to attend a meeting at a central location.

I think this whole “green romanticism” is crap and time will prove it, I have no doubt. Look at the utube http://www.50to1.net. The only way to make countries understand what they’re doing to the economy for naught is to pass that message around.

My favorite part about ICE is having about 10 people on a job that requires 2, driving Polaris quads which are the most expensive in Costa Rica by a longshot and hand delivering my bill with the largest truck the have burning all kinds of fuel. Nor do they trim the trees near my house which I end up doing so the line does not break and I am without power again.

Will you listen to yourself? Costa Rica is “just so much further advanced?” Advanced in just what ways? It is much easier to have renewable sources when you only have to provide for a population of a few million, you know. Meanwhile, where the hell do you get the idea that I am some kind rich, or that it was easy to replace appliances and electronics in a place like Costa Rica? Willy-nilly?! I think you totally missed my point.

The ICE presidents and vice residents still continue with huge bonuses and expense account not to mention their salary in the millions. Well a few more centavos squeezed out of the Costarricense each day adds up and hurts all of use. My bill has doubled in the last 7 years with out adding anything extra to power. has yours?

John, but you have to appreciate that it’s renewable energy sources so we can save our world from catastrophic MMCC (man-made climate change). That’s gotta account for something. The “rich” can certainly afford to replace burnt-out appliances willy-nilly because the end justifies the means. Your turn in the U.S. is coming; Costa Rica is just so much further advanced.
