“Breathing is natural”. Profound. And to your dismay, consider we exhale carbon dioxide (CO2). We form part of the chain with nature — plants use our carbon dioxide. In fact CO2 is so necessary to man that without it, we would not survive. Maybe you recommend we stop breathing and plants stop growing. You should read studies published by someone other than green romanticists — you may get a broader perspective because I think you’re quite full of it! “Dirty fossil fuels”? Are you aware of the pollution created by production and disposal of alternate energy sources? Obviously not. Just breath natural, Mirna, in a totally blissful world of naiveté. And while you’re at it, consider how the majority of man is going to be able to afford the “alternative”. (e.g. report from Germany: “the rising surcharge placed on German household and SME bills to pay for renewable energy projects” went from .20 per Kwh in year 2000 to 5.277 in 2013. They are changing their policies stressing that clean energy costs have become unacceptable. Let me ask all your “green romanticists” a question: When did the world economy start to decline? — +/-10 years ago, +/-5 years ago? When did the “green” movement gain traction (in Kyoto accord/UN Agenda 21?) Maybe Mirna can afford to pay but the majority cannot. So do you recommend we freeze in the cold, Mirna, because (as is the case is some countries) people are doing that because they can’t afford electricity anymore. And please, read alternate studies which show MMGW is a myth — follow the money!!

Yes, what you are proposing is advancement of Agenda 21 where the population will be confined in government approved buildings in areas of population control (red zones-little to no humans allowed; yellow: highly regulated use; turquoise: normal use zones of cooperation (whatever that means); orange: International zones of cooperation; pink: indian reserves; gray: military reservations. Human habitats will be regulated for utility consumption and you’ll be transported on public transport in areas where you are permitted to travel. Forget about adventure or freedom — they’re gone. You can go to and from work, shopping will be within your walking distance and you won’t be allowed to grow or harvest for your own consumption. Sounds like utopia to me. NOT.

Yet nobody notices the guilty elephant in the room: cars. Even Al Gore only calls for more energy efficient cars, which won’t help much. Even if emissions for driving can be reduced to zero, the production and disposal of cars pollutes enormously, as also does building, maintaining, and simply having the ever-widening roads. The tragedy is that there are agreeable and affordable alternatives to private passenger motor vehicle transportation, but until these alternatives are pursued all the prattle from the environmentalists is just more hot, polluted air.
