Look, Timothy. This publication calls itself: Inside Costa Rica. It’s an English-language publication. So far, so fine. Having the headline read “U.S. tapping Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Skype, Apple, and more”, doesn’t really go with the supposed focus of this publication.

To say that ICR shouldn’t cover this story because it isn’t “Costa Rica specific” is like saying ICR shouldn’t cover (international) Health news either, such as recent breakthroughs on MS. The story above affects just about everyone in Costa Rica, who all use the services mentioned. If you had already read this story elsewhere, no one forced you to re-read it here. Skip it and move on. But ICR staff took the time to actually hand-write the article, it isn’t from a wire service, so no need to bash a writer’s efforts to bring you news that might be relevant to you. Every Spanish-language newspaper in Costa Rica covered it – should they have skipped over it because it didn’t involve Costa Rica-based companies or the government here?

I get my global news from sources in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Why some English-language publication called “Inside Costa Rica” gives us the same chewed-over stuff we can read on any global newspage is beyond me. It doesn’t make any sense. My online “dating” profile (?!) is not geared at you so there’s no need to alter the dress-code.

Of course, YOU don’t utilize the services provided by these companies that are complicit in spying on us ALL, so it has nothing to do with you, right? Oh wait, you just might be using their services for your ONLINE DATING profile, as evidenced by your ever so mature photo icon. Go put on a shirt and some big-boy pants now.
