Ever since her first days, when she initially supported a pay raise for the legislature and then bowed to public pressure and opposed it, she has consistently flip-flopped on issues. While this may be construed as democratic, and it is, at the end of the day people want their politicians to be leaders rather than followers. But every time Chinchilla chooses to lead on an issue, she ends up changing her mind about it. Maybe she picks the wrong side of the fights to begin with–that rather than waffling could be her failing–but it’s hard to follow a leader who constantly changes directions.

Costa Rican public infrastructure to foreign organizations!

Now you have the CR politicos squirming so do not let up on the pressure because they are no doubt working hard to find a way
around your block on this selloff of your road system. Force the CR Government to fund their own infrastructure improvements. If you must use tolls to pay for your infrastructure improvements, make sure they have a start and end date to the tolls so when the roadway is paid for the tolls stop and the maintenance of the roadway is funded from normal taxation. Otherwise, the politicos will use the tolls as a hidden tax and continue to live beyond their means.

Again, congratulations, do not stop until you
get the roadway you want, you are in the driver’s seat, no pun intended, now!
