Giving such concessions to private companies whether they be CR or foreign is a form of crack for these politicians.Politicos love the idea of providing public services for what they see as free so they can in turn continue government waste and excess, such as the President’s use of hundreds of thousands of dollars of public funds for personal PR, and then point to the completed public works projects as progress.Costa Rica should fund its own transportation network and other public service projects, not sell off the country to the highest bidder. I will end this diatribe by saying that if public works projects are to be funded internally with tolls, please my friends, and make sure there is a clear beginning and end to the tolls once the project is paid for over a fixed period of time. If projects are left with open-ended tolls, the politicians will not be able to stop themselves from keeping the tolls in place forever so they can use this hidden tax for more waste and abuse.Best of luck my CR friends, stopping thesen wolves!

The President is just using the Catholic Church for
additional cover and insulation from the populace that is against the privatization of the Costa Rican road network.
