Their world view might affect their results, that is likely to happen. Yet you did not discuss their methodology, or bothered to mention that it was a peer-reviewed publication. Perhaps your contempt for Costa Rica is the biggest reason why you dislike that study.

i did not insult the UK or Sweden or any ethnic group, and your comment to me was a childish i have this what do you have brat behavior. i sarcastically and correctly noted that the study designers score 2nd to the highest in the world which reflects more on their world view than any study of social success. now that is a big no duh, requires no degree in quantitative methods, or even factor analysis to purge bad data. it is just obvious. pablo your cutting comments on the intelligence of people speak to you, not i. good day.

I did statistical analysis to show that given GDP per capita, Cost Rica leads the world on the Social Progress Index. Regression analysis elucidates countries that are social performers and laggards given GDP per capita at their disposal to provide well-being. A graph at http://www.canalyt.com titled “Social Progress Index Performance Given GDP per capita” shows that Costa Rica, the Philippines, Bulgaria, Argentina, Britain and Poland are very high performers given their GDP per capita. Nigeria, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Botswana, Israel, Russia, and the UAE should all have much higher Social Progress Index scores given their levels of GDP per capita. Congratulations Costa Rica!

I agree. I think everyone has the right to disagree with that publication. But as adults we have to state our reasons very clearly, and not just rant and insult the UK, Sweden or whatever other country or ethnic group. That is immature.
