Hmmm, maybe they can send the trainees to Mexico to be taught how to be good cops. Mexican cops have been such a good example. Surely it’s better than having anything to do with anything America.

I am also no supporter of the School of the Americas either (which I think changed its name some years ago) although I’m hesitate to label it “Nazi.” A Tico buddy of mine studied business administration there while in the OIJ, hardly Nazi stuff, even though the excesses of the school are well known. Meanwhile, there is something else to think about. CR will be increasingly drawn into battle with the drug gangs, and those guys don’t play by any rules except their own. If CR’s cops aren’t up to snuff, the only alternative will be to invite in the US Marines and let the rest of us get caught in the crossfire. I personally prefer well-trained CR police, even quasi-military police since I’m afraid that will be necessary, though would prefer that they receive their training elsewhere.

SOA is a paramilitary police training academy.which is totally different than a regular police training academy. Military police aren’t the same non military police officers because police officers aren’t military personnel. The fact that officially CR has no military is “white lie” by having sent and continue to send certain members of their “police force” to a paramilitary police police academy sought of violates their claim.. Their constitution. CR really should not continue the practice..

This urgently needs to be nipped in the bud, right now. Costa Rica has always been “monkey see, monkey do” with the States, but this is going too far. As in the States, we have the Rothschilds in charge of the banks here, and just look at what is going on in other countries. I see the para-militarization of the police here as a step in that same direction. Laura´s gag law and the idea of “State secrets” is probably to cover up deals she has made with the bankers that in effect, give away the sovereignty of the Costa Rica citizens.
