The Justice Department typically most closely associated online gaming, regardless of whether it was located in or outside the US, to Satan every time they had the opportunity. However, the Feds efforts to stop online gaming was a miserable failure. For this reason, over the past two years, the states of Nevada and New Jersey successfully lobbied to get the Feds off their backs because they saw they were losing out on billions of online gambling dollars. Now, all of a sudden, the US Government has no opinion regarding online gaming here in the USA and interested states have passed laws approving it. However, now the US Justice Department, has changed its focus and is working to secure the online gaming market, here in the US, for US based organizations only. Therefore, now the Justice Department associates all online gaming based outside the USA as money laundering and is putting pressure on foreign governments to shut it down. You can be sure that the US based gambling organizations are eyeing the foreign online gaming market as their next market. As usual, the US Government is throwing around it considerable weight to threaten countries such as Costa Rica with harboring and promoting money laundering organizations. Well, sadly, CR will likely bend to whatever the hypocritical US Government wants on this issue.

Historically, the USA, Federal Government, has strictly enforced the ban against online gambling with great zeal.
