IMAS get profit from duty free, Luxury taxes on houses over 200K, $1 surcharge on departure tax and so on.. This is just a stupid as stupid gets nothing going to change. Oh and all the shanty towns are still here Right lady Laura?

fighting poverty? get your hands out of my pants! what a joke. governments cause poverty, they don’t help it except to help it get worse. every country in the world is becoming an animal farm. the end is near.

Why a government doesn’t just buy a few “love shacks” and collect ALL the profits is beyond me. I mean, don’t they have built-in clientele already? With all the technology Costa Rica has — why not install parking meters on the love-shack doors — that would simply the process–no taxes, just 100% of the money. And if they use their credit cards for ingress, we’ll know who’s on the job and who’s taking an unauthorized work break. Somewhere along Route 1856 (Trocha) might be a good location; or close to the work of the legislature or court.

Better idea, why doesn’t government just buy a few “love shacks” and collect ALL the profits? I mean, don’t they have built-in clientele already? I can suggest a few locations for such a lucrative venture: somewhere along Route 1856 (profits won’t have to travel far to reach the poor there) or how about close to the legislation assembly/court offices.
