I stayed 7 days in Escazu in December and it was full. Mid Feburary stayed at my girlfriends casa but the SJO airport was busy both in and back to Miami

Well if the hostels here in CR were not so greedy they would be full, they should drop the prices a little, this is not the only rain forest on the planet, for example Nicaragua is picking up the slack they offer lower prices.

I recently stayed 8 days in at a hotel in Heredia and it was pretty much full during our time there. I asked the owners why, and they explained that the has been a drop off of North Americans which they use to do heavy advertising. Now they are concentrating on the locals and Friday to Sunday the hotel is full.

The statistical logic behind this article seems more than a little confused to me — it seems that there was an opinion poll taken among providers, and then this interpreted as consumer demand. This is why I never believe any statistics here, especially those coming from the government.
