Please forward this to news media such as Miami Herald, NYT, LA Times etc etc. The only way these ignorant liars are going to do anything about it is when their beloved tourism(legal rape) is completely crushed. The ” officials” here are doing their best to crush it but, like everything else here, the level of incompetence and outright laziness makes it a long, long process. Help them out a bit!

For a country that talks about being green, sure seams there is a lot of wast flowing down the rivers.You can smell it from the creek in the middle of Los Yoses! maybe waste treatment plants, instead of high salaries for ICE and AWA.

Mary, the problem is only near the mouths of tributaries (according to Mora), not most of the beach in the area in general. As Mora said, Jaco in general maintains its “green” flag status, they are just warning to not swim right where the mouth of tributaries meet the ocean. Most of the beach where people would swim/surf should be of perfectly safe levels.
