Mary, you are talking about the study published in Nature on April 2012. Yes, temperatures increase, but ony locally, and only by 0.65 centigrades. Wind farms do not cause global warming. Here is a discussion about that article, it is from Science magazine:

An “environmental Impact study?” Is that anything like the one done [not done] on La Trucha? Wonder if they consider impact studies done in the U.S. linking earth warming to the turbine movement? How about noise impact? {maybe it doesn’t matter today if it’s in an isolated area, but how about tomorrow? Lastly, wildlife impact. Oh yeah, I guess we forgot about our commitment (and taxes) that go to protection of wildlife (or are birds and bats exempt)?

hard to believe they will last that long in this climate. driving past the wind farm to rivas usually at least 20 are not functioning.
