We have just started an international linguistic project called Linguatera and want you to join the team.

The idea was born more than two years ago, the project is devoted to a neutral language which will be used in global communication.

Linguatera Steps:

1. Collecting common sounds from nearly 7000 existing languages on earth, from them we will pick only about 20-30 most ergonomic ones –through a global internet vote.
2. Creating new letters for those sounds – graphic contest and vote all over the world.
3. Building a database of all possible combinations of 5-7 letter words.
4. Building the words – all people can participate. The word that gets the most reps is assigned to a given sense. One word – one meaning. We create from 1 to 10 words per day.
5. Creating grammatical structures, for example: in Linguatera only three tenses – Past, Present and Future – vote all over the world.

Estimated time to the first communication in Linguatera from 1 year to 5 years. Then the project will continue on to build a complete database of words already existing and those yet to emerge. The name Linguatera after the introduction of the new alphabet will be written in it.

We want to build a new linguistic ground, where every person can be a creator, teacher and student in one.

In Linguatera we write what we hear, we hear what we write.

In English, for example A in the alphabet is pronounced / ei / but in the word cat / ae /.

Esperanto was not accepted by the world as a global language because it had European thinking and letters only. We invite all nationalities no matter their religion, political system and size.

Linguatera will use the most beautiful sounds of all languages and new letters.

Everyone will vote for every element of the language. Experts will act in an advisory capacity only and not the decision-making.

This is not to be another “artificial” language, given as a “finished product” but “alive” – as created by all people in the world in real time.

Besides Linguatera has an additional aspect, by its creation and subsequent use, the world will have the possibility to align and consolidate peace.

One word – one meaning, this principle underlies Linguatera.

Now when you say e.g. “key” in the English language out of context, self, people do not know what you mean. Linguatera will accelerate communication because when you say a word your interlocutor will know its exact meaning immediately.

Brainstorming, new solutions, the Internet technology enable the construction of such a language in 2012 and in 5 years’ time from its launch the world will be able to communicate in it without any inferiority complex or prejudice, because everyone will start from “0″level.

A neutral, simple, widely available language for free does not exist.

We want you to encourage the people living in your country to build the language with us. Universities all over the world are ready to help building the language.
