Much of what you say is absolutely true but I don’t believe tourists base their destination on where they can drink in public. Mostly I see resident foreigners and tourists making horses asses out of themselves with their drunken behavior…it is not attractive for either Ticos or resident foreigners representing CR is this manner.

Galveston Island also has a no drinking policy on all beaches but one…East Beach…which is the most beautiful beach anyway…with a bath house and restrooms and a cover charge to park there…but, it does allow drinking…but not glass containers. All the other beaches have signs but, Larry and I have discreetly brought flasks filled with rum to mix in cokes….and they don’t seem to enforce the law unless there is a complaint. As they say, “Discretion is the better part of valor”….I mean…”getting around the law”. I’ll best it’s onlhy loosly enforced at peak tourist times. How arfe you both fairing, dodging earthquakes? Hopefully the pizza oven has been the only casualty.

What is going on in my once wonderful CR? so tax and law prohibitive. many are now relocating to Panama. when will CR learn?
