They&#039;re becoming know as a destination that will bleed the tourist at every corner. I hope for a great tourist season, but I think the long term trend is that countries like Nicaragua are going to take a lot of tourists away from here. The high prices might even be justifiable if the service here were better, but on average your paying high end prices for average food, accommodations and service. This is an expensive place to vacation!  I live here and love this place, however inflation, taxes and the manipulation of the currency has taken a toll.
