Time to blame poor civil engineering standards on climate change. Costa Rica is in the tropical zone… we get lots of rain and sometimes it causes flooding. Fact of life, not climate change. “Smart” countries have coped with torrential rains and their effects on infrastructure by employing sound practices instead of building as cheaply as possible so there is enough leftover for “chorizo”. Those with collapsed infrastructure practice the false economy of poor initial construction.

i know that after a lifetime of studying Hurricanes and warm water patterns Dr. William Gray says it is just not possible to predict hurricanes because there are just too many variables and unknowns. heck, most weather reports for next week are not right.

I seriously question the possibility of success in such a complex field as climatological forecasting by a group known to be unable to successfully repair a simple bridge deck.

just a suggestion, maybe they should read the latest reports out of east aglia. you know, that english university that is the substance of these UN findings. apparently they are fessing up to some rather large flaws in the computer model. you know. like the science you learned in junior high. reproducing your findings to prove them. not a single model has ever correlated with actual data. “environmental science”. the whole where a bunch of money goes.
