This of course will mean higher electricity costs as the dams run low. Buying fossil fuels to run the turbine generators results in loss — not everything you put in equals what comes out in the “sustainable” world. What? Did someone not think of this when they switched a system over to run green? How do they switch an entire system back to directly and efficiently use fossil fuels? Oh, I forgot, they don’t want to do that under any circumstances — better to increase electricity rates.
