Let’s imply big business that supplies thousands of jobs, is cheating the government out of its stolen money. Driving them away will be a great boost to the economy.

And why should this be a problem since the Costa Rica government charges America tourist such outlandish taxes on everything. So far I have paid almost twice what my vehicle is worth just to have it registered here in Costa Rica. Don’t get me wrong, I do love being here, but seems that a country that is such dire times with money would try to make it more enticing for people to come here and spend money. The lack of local availability of some items forces me to have them shipped to the tune of 30+ percent of the cost of the item and shipping combined as well as having to pay overpriced shipping cost. Even then there is a bottleneck at the customs office where some individuals place such high valuation in items that it makes it almost impossible to get them here. Reform is needed in many areas to see this country grow.

This is news? I would do the same. IF I had extra money pay bonuses, buy equipment do whatever to make a zero balance. Why give Lady Laura millions to fly around with her posse and diputados aka: bandits getting huge salaries and pensions. Cut the government 500 pound gorilla needs to be on aa diet.

If the Goverment wants to save money, cut the pay of Congress, the judges and Hospital managers. No one in Govt. draws a pension be fore age 65, and the top pay about $2000.
