Many Online Gambling
Operators Use
Prostitutes... And Some
Marry Them
Gambling911.com
Prostitution is legal in
the online gambling
Mecca of Costa Rica. In
fact, it has become one
of the biggest employers
of attractive women of
all ages... and some who
are not so attractive.
On any given night, the
Hotel Del Rey, at the
centre of Costa Rica's
capital city, San José,
is teeming with hookers,
tourists and the bookies
who want to marry them.
Some do!
A study conducted by
Gambling911.com shows
that for every five
online gambling
operators, one has
married a prostitute or
former prostitute. While
this study cannot be
classified as
"scientific", it does
have its merits.
"These girls enjoy their
professional and they
are not uptight and
money hungry like the
hookers in the States,"
explained one online
gambling operator, whose
wife was a former hooker
and could still be one.
"They enjoy sex and
being in the company of
rich Gringos."
The beautiful girls in
Costa Rica do not become
models, they become
hookers. But the serene
peaceful nation with
nominal crime and
plentiful numbers of
robust Viagra-popping
Gringos sports more than
just local talent.
"My hot wife is
Colombian. They are the
best!" declared the
operator.
Colombians, Dominicans
and Nicaraguans make up
much of the
"international"
bounties. These days, 67
percent of the girls
appearing at the Hotel
Del Rey and similar
establishments speak
some English, compared
to only 7 percent in
1998.
"And they make good
mothers!" he harped.
That's often the first
thing these sultry
slinky women of the
night (and day, since
these girls often wake
up next to their man in
the morning) do once
they hook up with a
regular. They pop out
babies. Not just one.
They have two, three,
four, five , six of them
and so on. Plus most of
them cook.
While Eliot Spitzer's
rendez vous with at
least one call girl was
the talk off Bookie Land
last week, the online
gambling community was
more infuriated with his
"hypocritical"
tendencies than the idea
he was engaging in
infidelity with "for
pay" flesh desirers. The
former New York Governor
had prosecuted
prostitution rings in
the past.
But Spitzer might not
like Costa Rica very
much. Not only did he
attempt to shut down the
online gambling industry
back in 2002 via nearly
a dozen credit card
issuing banks, Costa
Rican prostitutes almost
exclusively practice
safe sex even when
engaging in the act of
fellatio. As reported
heavily in the media
last week, Spitzer's
alleged hooker was
informed he "liked to do
things (sexually) that
were not safe", implying
he did not like to wear
a condom.
Although it's not
intercourse, oral sex is
a part of sex - and like
any sexual act, it is
something you should not
participate in unless
you are absolutely sure
that you want to.
While statistics and
opinions vary, oral sex
CAN transmit some
sexually transmitted
diseases such as herpes,
HIV, hepatitis B,
gonorrhea, syphilis
and/or genital warts.
The girls who work at
established and
reputable San Jose
establishments must
present a card showing
they have been tested
for most of the above
diseases.
There is a downside to
the Costa Rica sex
industry, however. Girls
who work the streets
tend to be those
excluded from bars like
the Del Rey for various
reasons. The primary
reason is that they do
not have a card
detailing their good
health or they have
otherwise been declined
for such a card. Some
girls are not really
girls but guys. These
are classified as
transvestites and a
rather large percentage
of the transvestite
population in Costa Rica
is perceived to be "uninspected"
by health agents.
Like with any
relationship, whether it
be a one night stand or
long term marriage,
caution is advised.
