the body. Many of these words are necessary if
you ever have to go to a non-English speaking
doctor and have to describe your ailment.
el corazón - heart
la cadera - hip
la mano - hand
los dedos - fingers
el pie - foot
los dedos de los pies - toes
el tobillo - ankle
el estómago - stomach
el codo - elbow
la muñeca - wrist
el pecho - chest

Tiquismo of the week: "Timba" is
a large belly in Costa Rica. Barriga,
panza and vientre are words which mean the
same in proper Spanish.
