ICE-ALCATEL SCANDAL:

	Miguel Angel Rodríguez Former Costa Rican president and former Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS). Where is he? in Costa Rica, ordered to six months preventive detention in the La Reforma prison following two weeks of house. The former president entered the prison system Fri. 29 Oct. His appeal for Habeas Corpus was rejected by the Sala IV. He must wait three months before his mandatory review of the preventive detention order.
	José Antonio Lobo Solera Former ICE director and forrmer Minister of Housing in the Rodríguez administration Where is he? In Costa Rica, under house arrest
	Edgar Valverde, Former president of Alcatel Costa Rica, who was fired last week as manager of the French company. Where is he? In Costa Rican in San Sebastian jail in preventive detention for three months.
No foto available.	Luis Adrián Quirós Carmona Lawyer with the law firm Servicios Notariales Q.C that received payments from Alcatel for distribution to public functionaries. Where is he? In Costa Rican police custody
	Hernán Bravo, Former vice president of the board of  directors at the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), admits having received us$900.000 from Alcatel. He is sorry and says will pay back every cent. Where is he? In Costa Rica, ordered not to leave the country, sign in to police every 15 days, not to be near 50km of a border point, and post a us$100.000 dollar bond.
	Joaquín Alberto Fernández Alfaro Former ICE director is accused of receiving us$1.200.000 dollars from Alcatel Where is he? In Costa Rican jail for six months of preventive detention.
	Jean Philp Gallup, Wife of former ICE director, José Antonio Lobo, who received the the Alcatel payment of us$2.400.000, that implicated the former president Rodríguez. Where is she? In Costa Rica we presume. Nothing more has been heard of her and her involvement
	Isidro Serrano Former manager at Rafiografica Costarricense S.A. (RACSA), with 30 years of service was fired without compensation. Where is he? In Costa Rica, looking for a new job
	Alfonso Guardia Cousin of former president Rafael Angel Calderón and tied both to the Fischel-Caja and ICE-Alcatel scandals. Seems Guardia had his hand out in both pork barrels. Where is he? In Costa Rica, ordered to post us$200.000 bond or face preventive detention.
	Leonel Barrios Worked as an engineer at the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) since 1970 and into the 1980's and became an important player in the relationship between Alcatel and ICE since Alcatel's arrival in Costa Rica in early 1980, founding his own company that did business with Alcatel. Where is he? In Costa Rica, under investigation by the Fiscalía de Delitos Económicos.

FISCHEL-CAJA SCANDAL:

	Rafael Angel Calderón Former president of Costa Rica who received more that us$500.000 from the Corporación Fischel Where is he? In Costa Rica. In La Reforma prison for two months in preventive detention. He will be released on December 22. Calderón had been ordered by a lower court to nine months preventive detention, however, on appeal, the decision was reduced to two.
	Emilio Bruce President of the board of directors of the Corporación Fischel Where is he? In Costa Rica, under investigation
	Walter Reiche President of the Corporación Fischel Where is he? In Costa Rica, free on ¢200 million colones bail, cannot leave Costa Rica, must sign in every 15 days and to have no contact with witnesses and co-accused in the case.
No foto available.	Randall Vargas Lawyer for the Corporación Fischel Where is he? In Costa Rica, free on condition of paying ¢5.000.000 colones bail, not allowed to leave Costa Rica, have no contact with witnesses, not to speak on the case and sign in to police every 15 days.
	Eliseo Vargas Former president of the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS). Where is he? In Costa Rica, released from preventive detention on condition that he sign in very two weeks, not leave the country or any have any contact with other witnesses and accused in the case.
	Gerardo Bolaños Law firm partner of Rafael Angel Calderón. Where is he? In Costa Rica, Bolaños was sent to jail for preventive detention following his being under house arrest.
No foto available.	Ligia Céspedes Céspedes is the wife of Gerardo Bolaños. Where is she? In Costa Rica, is requested to sign in to police every 15 days.
	Juan Carlos Sánchez Former director of the CCSS, head of the department to modernize the Caja> Where is he? In Costa Rica. Sánchez will spend the next six months in jail, after he was found to have left his home which he was ordered under "house arrest".

	Casa número 59 del Residencial Valle del Sol, en Santa Ana The house where it all began. The house was lived in by Eliseo Vargas, purchased by a company related to the Fischel Corporation. Vargas now says he owned the house all along, pretended to be a tenant, paying several rent payments, to hide the facts.
