Venezuela and Argentina Sign Social Co-op Agreement

Government representatives of Argentina and Venezuela signed today a cooperation agreement on social matters aimed at drafting a joint action plan to implement bilateral pacts signed in this regard.

The document was signed in the presence of President Hugo Chavez by Vice President for Social Affairs Yadira Cordova and Argentinian Minister of Social Development Alicia Kirchner, who ended today a three-day visit to Venezuela.

The agreement was signed in the Ayacucho Hall of the Miraflores Palace as part of a meeting between beneficiaries of social missions and President Chavez.

In response to journalists after saying farewell to the Argentinian minister outside the presidential palace, Chavez said that "we can feel that what has been done through all these social missions is worthwhile, as it is also worthwhile to continue doing it."

"All we have done is to achieving social justice," he stressed.
