Costa
Rica's
Coffee
Producers
Need
80.000
To
Pick
Coffee
A
job
picking
coffee
may
not
top
your
list,
but
it
is a
way
of
making
extra
cash
for
the
holiday
season
and
there
are
a
lot
of
opportunities
out
there
as
Costa
Rica's
coffee
growers
require
the
hands
of
at
least
80.000
people
to
harvest
the
expected
2.75
million
bushels
this
season.
The
estimates
of
the
harvest
are
by
the
Instituto
del
Café
de
Costa
Rica
(Icafé),
which
has
enabled
a
phone
line
for
producers
to
report
the
number
of
collectors
they
need
and
the
farm
location.
If
you
are
interest
in
working
as a
coffee
picker
you
can
call
800-800-2233.
Icafé
director,
Ronald
Peters,
the
harvesting
of
the
"golden
bean"
begins
this
week.
Icafé
Producers
asked
to
submit
their
reports
of
need
for
labour
as
soon
as
possible
to
give
a
fast
and
timely
service
and
contribute
to
the
collection
of
the
bean
in
all
regions.
