Volunteers Clean Up Park
A group of about 75 young volunteers decided
to change the face of Pavas, the suburb on
the west side of San José.
The group chose the park known as "la
Montañita" at the west end of the boulevard
de Rorhomser to plant some 500 trees, pick
up garbage, paint the park benches and erect
signs telling visitors to maintain the park.
The volunteers are from the cultural
association Nueva Acrópolis, with the
objective of beautifying parks in need in
different communities.
