Guatemalan President to Forum in Chile
Santiago de Chile - Guatemalan president,
Alvaro Colom, and his Chilean counterpart,
Michelle Bachelet, will inaugurate on Sunday
the 3rd Forum on Competition in the Americas
and the following day he will deliver a
conference in ECLAC.
According to the Chilean minister of
Economy, Hugo Lavados, the three day forum
that counts with the participation of 20
ministers and about 600 businesspersons and
officials of the region, will be closed by
the Brazilian president, Luiz Inacio Lula da
Silva.
Also attending the forum is the US secretary
of Trade, Gary Locke, OAS general secretary,
Jose Miguel Insulza and ECLAC executive
secretary, Alicia Barcena who will receive
Colom on Monday.
On that day the Guatemalan head of state
will deliver a conference in the
headquarters of the Economic Commission for
Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to
government authorities, diplomats,
academicians and representatives of
international institutions among other
personalities. |
