Cuba and Brazil Signed Legal Agreement

Havana - Both Cuban and Brazilian governments signed on Thursday police and legal instruments to fight organized crime.

The agreement signed by the Brazilian Justice Minister, Tarso Genro and his Cuban peer María Esther Reus encourages the creation of programs to prevent and to stamp out drug trafficking.

The signed cooperation accord makes provision of services to citizens easier and guarantees

the legal security in bilateral relations.

The document implements collaboration in the notarial activity, the citizen registry and land registration office, criminal records, technique and proceedings.

Luiz Fernando Correa, Brazilian police chief and Pascual Rodríguez, Major General and chief of the Cuban nacional police signed a letter of intent to strengthen the cooperation against organized crime.
