Beware of
Contaminated Hamburgers
The Servicio Nacional de Salud Animal (Senasa)
del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG)
has ordered the immediate removal of all El
Arreo CIISA "tortas de carne" (hamburgers)
from the national market after it found some
80 boxes of meat contaminated with EColi.
Senasa is asking the public not to consume
the products.
Freddy Sibaja, marketing director of of El
Arreo, based in La Rivera de Belén, near
Cariari, said yesterday that all the
products had been removed from stores.
Sibaja added that the company took it upon
itself to recover all the contaminated
products and then destroying in the presence
of officials of the Ministerio de
Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG) - agriculture
ministry.
