Venezuela for New World Currency

Caracas -  Venezuelan parliamentary deputy Angel Rodríguez ratified the support of Venezuela Thursday to replace the US dollar as the world exchange currency.

According to the president of the Commission of Energy and Mining of the Venezuelan National Assembly, there is a great need to put an end to the current system since it only responds the US interests.

The Venezuelan deputy said US can buy every kind of valuable merchandises, and that the US dollar is a form of colonialism much more sophisticated than the traditional ones.

In that sense, the support of the United Nations Conference on Development and Trade to migration to another exchange system is quite positive.

Nations like Venezuela have felt affectations in their commercial balance when the currency flows go down, something that is present in the contraction of the prices of oil, he pointed out.

He reminded that US does not have such a problem since they unilaterally left the demand of issuing every dollar with a gold counterpart.

Rodriguez regarded the position of Washington as a fraud and a mechanism to get richnesses and potentials from other countries.
