Search For Missing US Man Hampered By Bad

The search for missing US man resumed on
Monday after authorities spotted what may be
a corpse floating in the crater lagoon of
the Volcán Rincon de la Vieja in Guanacaste,
but was called off by mid day due to bad
weather. The same occurred Tuesday, when
some 18 Cruzrojistas (Red Cross workers) had
to call off their operations.
Over the weekend an aerial photograph raised
the possibility of determine what happened
to David Gimelfarb, a 28 year old doctoral
student in psychology in Chicago, went
missing in the national park on August 11.
All attempts to find Gimelfarb have failed.
Noemy Coto, spokesperson for the Cruz Roja,
said that weather complicated the efforts to
reach the lagoon that is 60 metres (197)
feet below the crater's edge. |
