Colombia Intelligence Spies on Venezuela

CARACAS - he Colombian Administrative Department of Security (DAS) has a spying plan against Venezuela called Falcon, denounced Sunday former Venezuelan Vice president Jose Vicente Rangel.

The former official asserted in his Sunday Jose Vicente Hoy television program that the data appeared in DAS documents on the trial against a top official of the authority, which is currently under procedure to be replaced by another institution.

He also asserted that the document gives details regarding the activity in Venezuelan territory and the expenses of DAS, the US embassy and the Central Intelligence Agency.

The former Venezuelan Vice president, who frequently cites intelligence sources, said the DAS has similar plans for other countries, with CIA financing through US embassies to those nations.

"The name of the plan against Venezuela is Falcon, that against Ecuador is called Solomon and Phoenix is the name of the plot against Cuba," Rangel said.
