Two More
Police Officers Arrested For Turning
Criminal
Police officers who turn to crime in Costa
Rica continues a problem for the Ministerio
de Seguridad Pública as those intrusted to
protect us from the criminals, are being
arrested and put in jail.
The latest cases are of two Fuerza Pública
fficiasl, the first in Cinco Esquinas de
Tibás, where a police operation resulted in
the arrest of three people suspected of
selling drugs.
One of the three, however, was a Fuerz
Pública officer assigned to the Guadalupe
detachment was was on his day off.
The second case was in Limón, where police
detained one of their own suspected of
committing a robbery of a cellula phone
store in that city.
Investigators found the officer in
possession of merchandise stolen from the
store and was held for a court hearing.
A Fuerza Pública officer starting salary is
¢211.000 colones (us$362) a month. |
