Solís Announces His Vice-Presidential
Choices
Ottón Solís, presidential candidate for the
Partido Acción Ciudadana (PAC), on Saturday
presented his running mates for the February
2010 vote.
Solís opted for a balanced ticket,
announcing the choice of Mónica Segnini
Acosta, a 41 year old businesswoman, Julio
Humphreys Vargas, 51 year health expert, as
his vice-presidents.
Vargas, who has a master in Public Health,
will the PAC's first vice president.
Acosta is the business balance that Solís
feels is important to compliment the ticket.
The PAC, like the PUSC, have included a
woman on their ticket to face the challenges
by Laura Chinchilla, who is the favourite
(in the early stages of the campaign) to
take the presidency.
