Cold Front In Nicaragua Means Lower Temperatures in Central Valley and Guanacaste

A cold front sitting on the Nicaraguan coast is responsible for the cold in the Central Valley and Guanacaste, according to the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN).

Eladio Solano, said that temperatures in the Central Valley could go as low as 13 or 14 Celsius in places like Heredia, Cartago and Coronado in San José.

In the northern zone and the Caribbean, the cold front will bring intense rain. The IMN is asking those living close to rivers and creeks to keep an eye on water levels.

The IMN added that areas like San Ramón, Atenas, Alajuela and Grecia can see a drop in temperatures and the Central and South Pacific coasts can expect cloud cover and lots of wind.
