Dollar Keeps Spiraling Downward

The US dollar is continuing its drop agains the Costa Rican colon, this week alone the exchange rate has dropped ¢6 colones from Monday to today's posting and ¢23 colones in the past month.

The buy rate today as set by the Banco Central de Costa Rica (Central Bank) is ¢553.47 as compared to ¢559.60 on Monday, ¢577.05 on October 27 and ¢581.87 on September 27. The sell rate today is ¢563.31, compared to ¢569.64 on Monday, ¢586.74 on October 27 and ¢591.57 on Septmber 27.

Experts believe the trend will continue downwards before the dollar begins to rebound.
