US
Airways, TACA Air In Code-Share Pact
US Airways Group Inc. has inked a code-share
agreement with TACA Airlines, effective Jan.
12. The agreement allows the carriers to
coordinate their flight schedules and
reservation systems.
The agreement complements existing US
Airways flights to Mexico, Costa Rica and
Belize and planned flights to Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil.
US Airways customers traveling to Latin
America from the United States will be able
to connect on flights operated by TACA
Airlines. US Airways customers can travel on
a single ticket to TACA’s hubs in San
Salvador, El Salvador; San Jose, Costa Rica;
and Lima, Peru, as well as Guatemala,
Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua.
TACA customers gain greater access to US
Airways’ markets in the United States
through connecting at Charlotte/Douglas
International Airport, which is US Airways’
largest hub.
Arizona-based US Airways (NYSE:LCC) operates
3,000 flights per day to more than 200
destinations in the Americas and Europe.
