USAC Students Help Build Temporary Housing in Costa Rica
By John Trent

In the wake of a magnitude 6.1 earthquake that jolted Costa Rica on Jan. 8, students from the University of Nevada, Reno are making a difference by building temporary housing.

The students are studying in Heredia, Costa Rica as part of the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC).

They recently had the opportunity to build the temporary housing for residents in the towns of Vara Blanca and Sinchona de Sarapiqui, which were hit especially hard by the earthquake.
